The short version. Wing reads a chat only when you ask it to, or while you have live mode on. It keeps a short summary of each person you talk to so it can help next time. The other person’s actual messages are deleted within 24 hours. Nothing is ever sent for you. You can export or delete everything at any time.
Wing never types into, sends from, or automates another app. It puts words in the box. You decide whether to send them.
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| The other person’s messages, as read | To write replies and update the summary | Deleted within 24 hours |
| A short summary per person (a match) | So next week Wing knows what “quiet” meant | Until you delete the match or your account |
| Your conversations with Wing (coaching, questions) | So a conversation can continue | 7 days |
| Records of each set of replies, without the text | Counting your plan’s usage, “more replies” | 7 days |
| Your profile (how you write, what you want) | Replies in your voice | Until you change or delete it |
| Your account (email or Apple/Google sign in, plan) | Signing in, billing | Until you delete your account |
Replies are written by Claude, a model from Anthropic, through Anthropic’s API. Text is sent to it only to produce your result. Payments are handled by the store you bought through (Apple, Google) or by Stripe; Wing never sees your card. Wing does not sell your data, does not show ads, and does not use your chats to train models.
Export and account deletion ask you to have signed in within the last ten minutes, so nobody holding your unlocked device can take your data.
Everything travels over TLS. Sign in uses Apple, Google or an email link, with short-lived access tokens and rotating refresh tokens. Every record is scoped to your account. Logs never contain message text.
Wing is for adults. You must be 18 or older to use it.
